Job Description
Looking for a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant to join a solo psychiatric practice in a setup that allows you flexibility in your schedule with a combination of on-site and remote work. Your responsibilities include making and answering phone calls and retrieving messages, checking benefits and eligibility and obtaining insurance authorizations, scheduling patients, preparing charts, and processing documents, as well as maintaining real-time communication with our staff. You should be comfortable using EMR in addition to having HIPAA training. Experience with social media advertising is preferred, and experience with medical billing and coding is a bonus. A high priority is placed on courteous and respectful interactions with our patients and others we are in contact with throughout the day. You will be working as an Independent Contractor as opposed to an employee, which adds flexibility as far as setting your hours and increases your earning potential, but has different tax and benefit implications to be aware of for this position.
Starting pay is determined by experience (DOE), with raises based on time in the position and performance. We are seeking candidates that are looking to be a part of a team and grow with our practice!
