Job Description
I am a music artist, producer, and business owner based between Los Angeles and Asia, seeking a reliable, resourceful Personal / Executive Assistant to help manage personal, family, and professional responsibilities in LA.
I’m looking for someone organized, personable, and proactive who can take ownership of tasks from start to finish. This role combines everyday personal support with administrative and scheduling responsibilities, including coordination with my teams in Taiwan and Beijing.
Responsibilities include
- Researching and booking restaurants, appointments, activities, and travel.
- Coordinating recording sessions and work schedules with our LA and Asia offices, accounting for time zone differences.
- Finding and helping screen babysitters and other household service providers, including arranging interviews and checking references.
- Managing calendars, drafting emails, making calls, and following up on correspondence.
- Running errands, handling purchases and returns, and coordinating deliveries and household appointments.
- Working closely with my existing assistant and teams in Taiwan and Beijing to keep arrangements and information aligned.
- Tracking pending tasks, deadlines, and next steps, and providing concise, timely updates.
The ideal candidate
- Has excellent spoken and written English and can communicate professionally on my behalf.
- Ideally speaks Mandarin—a significant advantage given our frequent coordination with offices in Asia.
- Has substantial experience living in the United States and strong familiarity with Los Angeles, particularly Pasadena, and nearby communities.
- Lives within a reasonable commuting distance of the Pasadena / San Marino area.
- Has a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Is proficient with email, digital calendars, online research, and everyday productivity tools.
- Is discreet, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and respectful of personal, family, and business confidentiality.
- Exercises good judgment, anticipates needs, and follows through without repeated reminders.
- Is interested in a stable, ongoing working relationship.
A college degree is preferred. Recent graduates are welcome to apply, especially those with relevant internships or experience in administration, hospitality, events, entertainment, or personal assistance.
Above all, I value initiative and practical problem-solving. When a reservation is unavailable, a contact hasn’t responded, or plans change, I’m looking for someone who follows up, explores alternatives, and brings me thoughtful recommendations.
This role requires regular in-person availability in the Pasadena / San Marino area, with some administrative work potentially handled remotely. Hours, schedule, and compensation are open for discussion based on experience and availability.
Please send your résumé, general location, availability, compensation expectations, and a brief explanation of why you would be a good fit.
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
Benefits
* Flexible schedule
Work Location: Hybrid remote in San Marino, CA 91108
